South Cuisine brings soul food

I was born and grew up in the heart of the deep South. Since as far as I can remember, remember long summer afternoons spent sipping iced tea and peas and butterbeans to my grandmother’s porch. I spent my roots and made my way in other regions of the world. One thing, however, which has remained constant in my life is my deep respect and love for Southern cooking and gastronomy.

I was probably well before my teens I realized that tea could be another way for sugar and ice. He has this moment I realized that some people who eat vegetables that had not been soaked mass dredged in cornmeal, fried and fatty. Southern cooking was not for the faint of heart, although it can cause a lot of hearts grow barely perceptible. One thing we can say is that you’ll never find anything else, as on earth.

People in southern learned to do with little, in many cases. Some of the poorest living in the Americas in the southern part of the country. Of course, you will find that many of these people, despite their poverty are also among the most generous. The same is true of food. This is the only thing that seems to be in a wide range in most homes in the south and very little, it would on an empty stomach.

It may be that the seasonings are often used in cooking in the South. Of course, I would like to talk about the cuisine of South without educating some of the most delicious desserts that seem to be perfection for the South. Favorite vegetables in the heart of the south as I mentioned earlier included butterbeans and peas, green beans, corn, summer squash (after all, it’s summer all year in the south) and okra (fried or cooked in many kitchens South). Not all vegetables are fried very few are out of bounds. I remember eating my share of fried okra, fried squash, and yes, fried green tomatoes. Life was good that calories do not count and nobody really worried about clog arteries. Although I would not do this dish every day in a house, I do recommend that you try to find if the opportunity ever.

Another great thing about food is magnificent South fried fish that seems to abound. From fried fish (almost any variety works well when fried in the south) for frying oysters, seafood seems much better taste in the south. If you are hoping to learn some of the cuisine of southern cooking and you’ll most likely need to order their spices and have sent them unless your grocery store has a fairly large “exotic” food selection. You can sometimes find condiments in southern food aisles in supermarkets and shops. If you really want your family to an excellent meal, you should try south of the kitchen for the night.
